The company operates an advanced manufacturing facility in Adrian, Michigan, capable of high-volume production of precision telescopes, gimbals, motors, mounts, and increasingly, in-space hardware.
Combining in-house optical design, glass fabrication, interferometric metrology, multi-layer coating, mechanical assembly, environmental qualification, systems engineering, and full-stack software allows Observable Space to control every step of the process.
Our Deerfield, MI machine shop produces all of the metal, powder coated steel, and other hardware needed for our space systems, telescopes, enclosures, and more.
Observable Space maintains a robust commercial product baseline that is readily configurable into space-qualified telescope architectures. The company has demonstrated the ability to produce hundreds of precision optical systems per year, including rapid scaling to 1,200+ units in 12 months for a recently announced large-scale observatory.
We wire all of our systems in-house, and pride ourselves on our technical expertise and workforce.
Observable Space’s industrial-class gimbals, motors, and OTAs have supported over 1,000 customers worldwide, across governments, commercial companies, academic institutions, and research markets.
